Some time ago I heard an interview that the guys from Crimson
Conversations did to the superb illustrator Brad Rigney. In some moment
of the interview, Brad was talking about how much time consuming the job
of a pro artist can be ( Damn true ! ). So in order to be that
dedicated( specially if you wanna improve ) you have to sacrifice a lot
of things, and social life is the first on the list and hit on chicks or
have a girlfriend can be quite tough if you are always painting. Brad
said that if you can't be with the chick of your dreams, at least you
can paint her. So I came out with that painting.
Is just some practice I'm doing . She is nobody in particular, I just took some photos of 3 or 4 models and use them as ref.

Hangar Sunset
Another environment. This time an interior shot. Like my 2 previous
environments, this one is also related to the oceanic world colony I was
working on.
This image took me a little bit longer than the previous ones. I put some extra effort on it, because the shot was looking quite cool during the painting process and I decided to detailed more. You know how it is, the more sugar you put the sweeter it taste.
Done in Ps CS5 .

Peak of Sadness
A closer view of the colony buildings and the ruins of an ancient
civilization previous to the human presence on this oceanic world. This
environment is a closer shot of my previous submission( the carved face
is in the opposite side of the rock you can see placed at the middle
ground ). The ruined temple is placed over a rock formation in front of
the colony buildings and the face.
